Do we use cookies?

4hype does not set its own analytics or advertising cookies. The only exception is the TikTok videos on the home page, which only load if you accept them in the cookie notice shown when you arrive (see below). You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.

TikTok videos

The “Today’s purchases” section shows videos from our account using TikTok’s official player. That player is served by TikTok (TikTok Technology Limited and its group) and may set its own cookies and collect browsing data for its own purposes, according to its cookie policy.

That’s why we don’t load anything from TikTok until you tap “Accept” in the cookie notice (or “Enable TikTok videos” in the section itself). We store your choice in this browser for 12 months and then ask you again. You can change it whenever you like:

Technical storage

We store two pieces of data in your browser that don’t identify anyone: a flag in session storage (sessionStorage) so the intro animation isn’t repeated while you browse, which is deleted when you close the tab, and your choice about TikTok cookies with its date (localStorage), so we don’t ask you again on every visit. The first is strictly technical and exempt from consent (article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE); the second exists precisely to respect your consent.

If you choose a language with the selector (or answer the notice suggesting the site in your language), we store it in our own cookie, 4h-idioma, for one year, so the site opens in that language next time. It’s a preference you ask for yourself, it isn’t used to track you and it’s exempt from consent.

In addition, our hosting and security provider, Cloudflare, may set a technical cookie (for example, __cf_bm) to tell people apart from bots and protect the website against attacks. These are necessary to provide the service, aren’t used to track you and are exempt from consent.

Statistics without cookies

To know how many people visit the website and which products interest them most, we count visits on our own server, anonymously and without cookies: we don’t store anything in your browser for this. You’ll find the details in the privacy policy.

Third-party links

The WhatsApp, Instagram and TikTok buttons take you to external services with their own privacy and cookie policies. We recommend you read them.

Changes

If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.
